Jun-Woo Jang is a Principal Researcher at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology in Suwon, South Korea and currently visiting Samsung Semiconductor Inc. in San Jose, California. He received the B.S. in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. in Creative IT Engineering from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), South Korea. His research interests include hardware architecture and modeling for accelerating artificial intelligence, particularly on the design of custom ASIC, processing-in/near-memory, and neuromorphic computing architectures using emerging memory devices.
